How to write in bold on LinkedIn
LinkedIn's post editor has no bold or italic button. The workaround is Unicode characters that look like bold letters: they are not formatting but actual characters, so they stay bold once pasted.
They work in posts, comments, your profile headline, the About section and messages, on desktop and mobile.
Where to use bold in a post
The first line matters most: it is what shows before "see more". A bold hook stands out in the feed.
Bold also helps split a long post: one bold word or heading per part, a key figure, the final call to action. A whole bold paragraph is harder to read than normal text.
Making only a few words bold

Are accents kept?
Yes. Accented letters keep their accent; depending on the device, the accent may look slightly offset.
