Only the link is sent, to fetch the video's public captions.
How it works
- 1Paste the YouTube video link.
- 2Ydeora fetches the available captions and lets you pick the language.
- 3Copy the text, download it as TXT or SRT, summarize it or keep it in Ydeora.
Good to know
- The tool first uses captions published or auto-generated by YouTube. Auto-generated captions may contain mistakes and little punctuation.
- YouTube sometimes refuses requests coming from servers. In that case, the page says so and offers to import the video file.
- Private videos can't be reached.

Frequently asked questions
What if the video has no captions?
Depending on the video, Ydeora transcribes the audio directly. If that's not possible, the page says so and you can import the file into the Audio and video to text tool.
Can I choose the language?
Yes, when several caption tracks exist, the list of available languages appears after the first fetch.
Are private videos supported?
No. Only public (or unlisted) videos whose captions are accessible can be transcribed.
